Introduction
When you’ve been in the pokie-making business as long as Microgaming, you’re not going to hit for six on every bowl. Such is the case with Tiger’s Eye, which while is far from a flop (it’s still a Microgaming pokie after all) isn’t quite the crowning jewel of their long and storied portfolio.
If that sounds a little harsh, it’s just because Microgaming has set the bar so high for themselves with their endless number of high-playing pokies that look beautiful, pay out big, and feature fun bonuses that always want to keep us spinning. Our Tiger’s Eye online pokies review aims to be fair, and while the scores are low as far as Microgaming pokies go, it’s still an above-average slot compared to many of the other pokies flooding the market these days.

Detailed review
Tiger's Eye Key Features
At first glance, this is a title that doesn’t seem like it offers too much. And while playing on it won’t be a life-changing experience, our Tiger’s Eye online pokies review team still found plenty of fun little features to be excited about:
- Bet multiplier increases by 1 with every free spin you make (up to 10x)
- Wilds can help you complete all of the game’s 40 paylines
- Free spins come in increments of 10 and hit frequently
- Five-of-a kind scatters wins you 200x your total bet
- Low variance means possible long-lasting fun
Vibrant visuals contribute to straightforward gameplay which is extended by frequent free spins and multiple scatter features.
The symbols you’ll be rooting for to appear on Tiger’s Eye’s reels in multiples of three or greater are (in increasing value) the 10, J, Q, K, A, a paw print, monkey, peacock, deer, and of course the tiger. For five of a kind these pay out between 80-800 coins in real cash. The wild (the Tiger’s Eye logo) pays out 1000 for five-of-a-kind and can sub in for all symbols except the scatter.
The scatter is a leopard-looking animal (not sure why in a game named after tigers…) that will pay out a crazy 200x your total bet when it appears five times, and 20x for four times. Read more on what the scatter does below in the next section of our review of Tiger’s Eye.
Jackpot & Bonus Games
We were a little miffed when doing our review of Tiger’s Eye to discover that a game with such a fierce name and look lacks an appropriately-fierce bonus feature. In fact, the only real bonus feature the game offers is a free spin feature that’s triggered when you show three or more scatter symbols at a time.
Every time this happens during the base game (no re-triggers, unfortunately), you will be rewarded with 10 free spins. And during each of these spins, the bet multiplier win increase by 1 (starting at 1x and then going up through 10x). While this doesn’t all sound like much, our reviewers reported that the feature seemed to trigger frequently around every 50 spins or so, which could make Tiger’s Eye worth it in the long run.
Mobile play
Tiger’s Eye on mobile is a pretty straightforward port. Optimized for mobile by Microgaming, it should adjust itself to fit properly on most smartphone and tablet screens. Additionally, there is no dedicated app for the game meaning you can preserve precious memory space on your device. Our Tiger’s Eye review mobile team also enjoyed:
- Great free spin feature operates just the same as it does on your laptop
- Play on the apps of your favourite online casino or in your mobile browser (sin app)
- Graphics look vibrant and clear even on smaller mobile screens
- Play for and win real money just like you would on PC
- Change the amount you want to wager easily with the press of a finger
